Obituary for Hubert Earl "Hubie" Roberts

Roberts, Hubert “Hubie” Earl, 75, of New Martinsville, WV died Saturday, January 04, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.

“Hubie” was born April 5, 1938 in New Martinsville, WV son of the late George and Mary Elizabeth Lemasters.

He was a retired superintendent for Ormet, member of the Wetzel Masonic Lodge No. 39 A.F.&A.M. in New Martinsville, served as the Past Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons, loved fly fishing, wood working and his grandchildren and member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in New Martinsville, WV.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Lulu Bell Robinson Roberts; two sons, David Allen (Kate) Roberts of New Matamoras, OH and Steven Ray (Beth) Roberts of Sistersville, WV; daughter, Barbara Jo (Randall) Bailey of Moundsville, WV; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Friends received 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014 with Rev. Dr. Victor Hunter officiating.

Full Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by the Wetzel Masonic Lodge No. 39 A.F.&A.M.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Hubie’s name to the Wetzel Masonic Lodge No 39 A.F.&A.M. Building Fund, P.O. Box 637, New Martinsville, WV 26155.
