Joy, Ruth Ann, 83, of Paden City, WV went home to her Lord on Monday, August 11, 2014 while at the Rada’s Care near Pursley, WV.

Ruth Ann was born June 7, 1931 in Paden City, WV daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel (Rockwell) Price.

She was a homemaker, a 1949 graduate of Magnolia High School, loved sewing, working crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and reading and a member of the Paden City Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Joy (2010); son, David Joy (1993) and three brothers, Ralph Price, Bill Price and Warren Price.

Surviving are her son, Kevin (Lisa) Joy of Columbus, OH; daughter, Connie (Don) Chambers of Paden City, WV; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Jenni, Micah, LynAnn, Daniel, Ben and Marc; seven great grandchildren, David, Mathew, Walter, Olivia, Riddock, Lakin and Zoe and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 3-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City where service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2014 with nephew, Brian Price officiating.

Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens.

The Joy family would like say a special thank you to Ruth Ann’s caregivers, Rada, Dottie, Linda and Diane for their gentle and loving care.
