Robert David ""Bob""  Grimm
Grimm, Robert “Bob” D., 81, of New Martinsville, WV died Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home while surrounded by his family.

“Bob” was born October 21, 1932 in New Martinsville, WV son of the late Thomas Grimm and Ruby Tennant Lyons.

He was a retired foreman with the former Ormet, a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, member and former Commander (at the age of twenty-six) of New Martinsville Legion Post 28 where he also served as Sergeant of Arms for many years, Sistersville VFW Post 6327, sixty year member of New Martinsville Moose Lodge No. 931, loved bowling, baseball fan of Pirates and Magnolia, attended Church of Christ and former councilman for the City of New Martinsville where he served for many years on the Water and Sewer Board.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Harry “Ike” Lyons and two brothers, Don and Jim Grimm.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Rona Norris Grimm; two sons, Robert S. and Derek B. Grimm both of New Martinsville, WV; daughter, Dena (Wayne) Carmint of Plymouth Meeting, PA; three grandchildren, Kara Grimm, Brittany Monaghan and Cody Carmint; great granddaughter, Kaylee and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Jarvis- Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville where service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 with Paolo DiLuca officiating.

Honor guard will conduct full military service.

Interment to follow in the Potts Cemetery in Long Valley, Wetzel County, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
