Goudy, Thelma Louise, 85, of New Martinsville, WV went to be with her Lord Thursday, September 11, 2014 while at Genesis New Martinsville.

Thelma was born June 14, 1929 in Tyler County, WV daughter of the late Floyd Joseph and Inez Gertrude (Arnett) Smith.

She was a retired minister for the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana, a homemaker, she and her husband pastured the Hemlock Church of God for over thirty years, loved her costume jewelry, sang Gospel music on radio WETZ, member of WV Ministers Association, Women’s Church Group and Duffy Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ira Goudy; son, Victor Goudy; three sisters, Virginia Morgan, Sarah Kominski and Juanita Goudy and two brothers, Lloyd Smith and Joseph Smith.

Surviving are three sons, Dale Goudy of Moundsville, WV, Robert (Nancy) Powell of St. Augustine, FL and Gary (Anna) Powell of Brunswick, OH; daughter-in-law, Nila Goudy of Sistersville, WV; three daughters, JoAnn (Larry) Thomas of New Martinsville, WV, Joyce (Don) Calhoun of Oakland, MD and Cathy (Bob) Harman of New Martinsville, WV; two sisters, Leona Henthorn of Oberlin, OH and Betty Manning of Elyria, OH; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 5-8 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the First Church of God in New Martinsville with Pastor Clarence Creer officiating.

Interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.
