Ralph  Ice
Ice, Ralph, 93, of New Martinsville, WV went home to his Lord Monday, September 15, 2014.

Ralph was born March 31, 1921 in Smithfield, WV son of the late Esten and Flossie Belle (Edwards) Ice.

He was a retired Post Master from the Jacksonburg Post Office, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, member of Pine Grove Sportsman Club, lifetime member of Pine Grove American Legion Benton M. Lowe Post 81 and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Martinsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jaclyn Hessling; grandson, Matthew Hessling; great grandson, Christopher Federico; siblings, Earl, Wayne, Ross, Ray, Lona Belle, Ruby, Ruth, Martha and two infants.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Fairy Louise Kelley Ice; son, Ralph (Toundra) Ice of Jackson, AL; five daughters, Ruth Coen of Pine Grove, WV, Carol Ann Buchanan of Tupper Plains, OH, Theresa Ice, Janet Federico and Mary Margaret (Jimmy) Melott all of New Martinsville, WV; granddaughter, Crystal (John) Ice-Martin; three brothers, Roy (Catherine) Ice of New Martinsville, WV, Jack Ice of Nashville, TN and James (Diane) Ice of Beach City, OH; fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 3-7 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John McDonough as celebrant.

Rosary service will be held 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Honor Guard will conduct military service after the Mass.

Interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
