Margaret O. Underwood, 86, a life-long resident of Paden City departed this life for her eternal reward on January 17, 2015.

She was born October 14, 1928, in Paden City, a daughter of John and Maggie Newbrough Rockwell.
Margaret worked at Paden City Pottery in the decal department and was a building caretaker for the Paden City church of Christ; but most of her years were spent as a housewife and a stay-at-home mom.

She was an avid lover of country and gospel music and was inducted into the Gold Circle Country Music Honor Society on January 21, 2005. She loved and collected glassware and porcelain dolls.

Surviving are one son, Dennis (Kim) Underwood of Paden City and one daughter, Pamela (Gary) Witschey of New Martinsville; two sisters, Monzell Long of Paden City and Virginia Minger of Fly, Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Shane (Amy) Witschey, Court (Tobey) Witschey, Addie (Jason) Space, Nathan Underwood, Beth (Drew) Hamilton, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Hugh, in 1982 and by her special friend, Wayne, with whom she played country music in many area venues. She was also preceded in death by her father, John, her mother, Maggie, and a brother Denzil Rockwell.

Friends will be received at the Jarvis-Williams funeral home in Paden City for visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday, January 20. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 on Wednesday, January 21 with Brian Price and Niles Hissom officiating.

Interment in Middlebourne Cemetery.
