Donald “Donnie” E. Richard, 76, of Paden City, WV passed on Friday, November 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

Donnie was born July 5, 1939 in Cider Run, Wetzel County, WV son of the late D. Fred and Elda L. (Kocher) Richard.

He was a retired machine operator from Corning Glass with thirty-five years of service, March 1st marked his thirty-eighth year of trimming trees for his many customers, graduate of Magnolia High School Class of 1958 and member of Smith Ridge Chapel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gilbert, Gerald and Gary; granddaughter, Joslyn Tomsik and two uncles, Glenn and Everett Henry.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Gracie (Shuman) Richard; son, Jeffrey (Jacqueline) Richard of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three daughters, Donna Darlene (Jerald Scott) Beaver of Paden City, WV, Dawn Rita Blatt of Charleston, SC and Darla Jean (Doug) Kerns of Waverly, WV; uncle, Dale Henry of Paden City, WV; two sister-in-laws, Jean of Wheeling and Jeannie of Wilmington, NC; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, where service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 with Roger Yost officiating.

Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery near Conway Lake.
