Obituary for Delores Joan Miller (Wood)

Delores “Joan” Wood Miller, 52, of New Martinsville, WV lost her courageous battle with cancer on April 6, 2016 while at Wheeling Hospital.

Joan was born February 19, 1964 in Manassas, VA daughter of Drexel Wood and the late Patricia Richmond Wood.

She was a former deli manager for Witschey’s and prior to that Giant Eagle, loved to cross-stitch and she was saved many years ago.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Weekly and aunt, Laura Goddard.

Surviving in addition to her father are her two sons, Daniel Mark Riggenbach and Aaron Riggenbach both of New Martinsville, WV; two daughters, Erica Leann (Brandon Rodriguez) Riggenbach and Maghan Miller both of New Martinsville, WV; three brothers, Jerry Wood of Silver Hill, WV, Darrell Yeater of Fairfax, VA and Andrew (Diana) Wood of Zanesville, OH; sister, Karen (Robert) Keough of Fairfax, VA; two grandchildren, Drew and Dylan; fiancée, Ronnie Schoonover and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV. Funeral service will be conducted at the end of the 4 p.m. visitation. Funeral service will be conducted by Lemoyne Horner.

Interment beside of her mother will be held at the convenience of the family.
