Obituary for Fredrick Harold "Fred" Thomas
Fredrick “Fred” H. Thomas, 73, of Paden City, WV passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 while at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Fred was born October 11, 1943 in New Martinsville, WV, son of the late Sherman and Lucy (Riffle) Thomas.
He was a retired from the City of Paden City, a U.S. Navy veteran serving during Vietnam, member of the Paden City Eagles Club #2281, served as Past State President for the Eagles, loved gardening and spending time with his granddaughters.
Surviving are his wife of thirty four years, Connie (Smith) Thomas; son, David (Kelly) Weltz of Fruit Heights, UT; five daughters, Amanda (Chris) Anderson of Paden City, WV, Jody (Steve) Kersh-Keene of Sterling, VA, Cassie (Jeff) Billiter of Paden City, WV, Christy (Matt) Long of Altus, OK and Kim (Scott) Eckels of Williamstown, WV; three sisters, Sarah (Keith) Porter of Surprise, AZ, Ellen (Gary) Howell of New Martinsville, WV and Carol (Duane) Deitch of Clarington, OH; thirteen grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, where service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City.
Honor Guard to conduct graveside service.
