Condolence: Buddy, was such an incredible, nice guy. I can remember coming home to visit with friends while home from college and we would discuss stories from State Championships and other sporting events, and he could recall events that I had forgot. So sad that he has passed. Condolences to his family & close friends...

Condolence: My condolences to Buddy's family, particularly his brother Barry. I have known Buddy since school and he was always a nice kind fun person to be around. He had season tickets to Pens hockey games for as along as I can remember. He was so good to include me on many trips to Pittsburgh back in the day. He will be sorely missed for all the good things he did for family and friends. Rest in peace Buddy!!!!

Condolence: i met Hartsel jr in 9th grade....he was in 8th...for some reason we became friends...i always called him 'Hartsel'..never did i call him 'buddy'..guess it was just to be different....we were very good friends for as long as i can remember....we spent 1000's of hours together playing cards together at either my parents house or at the dorms at west liberty...he helped me paint my dads camp at shiloh wva and we night fished there and caught mud-puppies at 3 am....u should have seen him run when that fish spread his legs and chased him for a foot or 2....in our early years i knew hartsel very well and i always enjoyed every minute....he was really very funny....i always figured that after we went our own ways for our life's adventures that we would meet again someday in our older years and rekindle our friendship.....hartsel was like a lil brother to me and in fact he was my little brother in our college fraternity...i am really sorry that i didnt know he was so ill, if i had known i wd have told him how much i loved him.....i know his dad hartsel sr, and they are alot alike....never ever heard anyone say anything bad about either.........i miss JR already, i always thought i wd see him again.....and i hope i do.......what a great guy !!!
