Obituary for Susan Rae McClelland (Slider)

Susan McClelland, 70, of Circleville, OH, formerly of Paden City, WV died May 31, 2017 at OSU Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born on May 20, 1947 in New Martinsville, WV, the daughter of Van and Frances (Nutter) Slider. She was a member of Leave A Mark Church and Village Chapel Church, volunteered at Berger Hospital for eight years, and was a retired respiratory therapist, having worked at the Veterans Hospital in Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Douglas “Dougie” McClelland.

She is survived by her son, C.R. McClelland; special person Tiffany McClelland; grandchildren Shannon, Abigail, Storey and Kaden McClelland; great grandchildren, Rylynn, Hayden and Stella; brother, Van (Barbara) Slider and sister, Brenda (Slider) Cain.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Wellman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday June 6, 2017 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Steve Combs officiating.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville, WV. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. The family welcomes her West Virginia friends to the service.
