Obituary for Richard Joseph "Rick" Goddard

Richard “Rick” J. Goddard, 64, of Proctor, WV died Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home.

Rick was born April 6, 1953 in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Harold and Rose (Herrick) Goddard.

He was a retired truck driver, loved hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and working on trucks and cars. Member of New Martinsville Moose Lodge No. 931, American Legion Marne Post No. 28 and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Goddard.

Surviving are daughter, Jona (T.J.) Johns of Ft. Pierce, FL; two sons, Joseph Goddard of Buffalo, NY and Dillon (Amanda Gill) Goddard of Abingdon, MD; two brothers, Ron (June) Goddard of Proctor, WV and Wayne (Becky) Goddard of New Martinsville, WV; two sisters, Colleen (Stuart) Redshaw of Canonsburg, PA and Kay Goddard of New Martinsville, WV; sister-in-law, Charlene “Charp” Goddard of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held noon, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Estep’s Camp in Proctor, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Rick’s name, to Grandview Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 641, New Martinsville, WV 26155.
