Harry P. "Sonny" Meeks Sr.
Harry P. “Sonny” Meeks, Sr., 78 of St. Marys, WV formerly of Paden City, WV died Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Belpre, OH.

Sonny was born September 19, 1938 in Paden City, WV, son of the late Wilbert Cecil and Dolly Elizabeth (Bradfield) Meeks.

He was a retired warehouse man for Bayer Corp., loved hunting, fishing and watching TV, served in the Army Reserve and loved visits from the pastors at the Celebration Center in St. Marys.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Jane Lee Meeks and brother, Billy G. Meeks.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-eight and a half years, Sue Ann (Bacon) Meeks; two sons, Harry P. (Rebecca) Meeks, Jr. of Ocoee, FL and Anthony J. Meeks, Sr. of St. Marys, WV; brother, George W. (Marjorie Lou) Meeks, Sr. of Paden City, WV and sister, Mary Kay (Charlie) Virden of New Martinsville, WV; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on both Friday, June 30, 2017 and Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Jarvis Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV, where service will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, July 2, 2017 with Pastor Jim Sims officiating.

Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Sonny’s name, to Friends of Paden City Pool, 114 S Fourth Ave., Paden City, WV 26159.
