Obituary for Donald Frederick "Don" Arrick

Donald “Don” Arrick, 76, of Proctor, WV passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Belmont Community Hospital.

Don was born June 10, 1941 in Glen Dale, WV, son of the late Kenneth H. and Letta Leah (Rine) Arrick.

He was a retired pipe fitter with local 83, loved Mountaineer and Steeler Nations, loved to travel, especially to the Amish country, where he was known by many, an avid flower gardener and loved the outdoors and member of the Proctor Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Martha J. Horner Arrick; two sons, Michael K. Arrick of Proctor and Donny (Kim) Arrick of New Martinsville, WV brother, David H. (Lea) Arrick of Proctor, two grandchildren, Lakyn N. Arrick of Boston and Zachary C. Arrick of New Martinsville and his faithful companion “Muffy” and several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 with Dwight Williams and his nephew, Brian Price co-officiating.

Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Don’s name, to his “favorite daughter-in-law’s” favorite charity Journey Hospice, 314 S Wells St., Sistersville, WV 26175.
