Donald D. Slider, 84, of Paden City, WV died Friday, August 25, 2017 while at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala, OH.

Donald was born December 14, 1932 in Paden City, WV; son of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Gigley) Slider.

He was a retired pipe fitter for PPG, served on the Board of Trustees for the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Paden City, #1 Wildcat fan and member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Paden City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janetta “Ruth:” Slider; daughter, Donna Aiken; infant son, Tommy Slider; three sisters, Gaynelle Lehman, Frances Irvin and Kathleen Wood; two brothers, Jack Slider and David Slider.

Surviving are daughter, Joyce (Norman) Trowbridge of Pataskala, OH; son-in-law, Tim Aiken of Sistersville, WV; four grandchildren, Allison Carse, Matthew Carse, Steve Trowbridge and Adam Trowbridge; five great grandchildren, Cameron Trowbridge, Liam Trowbridge, Lily Trowbridge, Braylee Trowbridge and Ava Trowbridge and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Paden City with Pastor Sheri Kernik officiating.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Donald’s name, to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 130 S Fourth Ave., Paden City, WV 26159.
