Obituary for "Red" Floyd S. Henderson

Floyd “Red” S. Henderson, 77, of New Martinsville, WV died Sunday, August 27, 2017.

Red was born November 21, 1939 in Wileyville, WV; son of the late Webster and Pauline (Burch) Henderson.

He was co-owner and co-founder of Red’s Tires in New Martinsville, he loved hunting, fishing and selling tires. He enjoyed people. In his younger days, he helped out with events at the track for Town and Country Days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Henderson in 2012; sister, June Garrison and brother, Dale Henderson.

Surviving are his daughter, Tammy (Eric) Waggoner of New Martinsville, WV, two brothers, Danny (Ruth Ann) Henderson of Reader, WV and Pat (Jolene) Henderson of Wileyville, WV; three sisters, Ruth Gillert of Weirton, WV, Bonnie Collins of Paden City, WV and Patty (Charlie) Musgrave of Wileyville, WV; two grandsons, Jonathan "Todd" King of Steubenville, OH and Marcus (Meredith) Waggoner of Morgantown, WV; four great grandchildren, Devyn King, Mia King, Max King and Lila Waggoner and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017 with Bill Reed officiating.

Interment to follow in the Carney Farm Cemetery on Carney Run near Wileyville, WV.
