Richard E. "Rich"  Beaver
Richard “Rich” E. Beaver, 87, of New Martinsville, WV died Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his home while surrounded by his family.

Rich was born June 21, 1930 in Gaylord, OH; son of the late Elwood and Erma Beaver.

He was a retired security guard for Bayer, a U.S. Air Force veteran, member of American Legion Post 55 in Hannibal, was good at fast pitch softball - always the pitcher and for several different teams, loved show cars, graduate of Martins Ferry High School Class of 1948 and a Protestant by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Beaver.

Surviving are his wife of twenty-eight years, Barbara Beth Beaver; son, Micah Beaver of Morgantown, WV; daughter, Tracy Laruffo of Bellaire, OH; brother, Russell (Marilyn) Beaver of St. Clairsville, OH.

Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, minister Pat Stillwagner.

Interment in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.

Honor Guard will conduct graveside service.

Memorial tributes may be done in one of two fashions. You can follow Rich’s tradition of randomly buying an ice cream cone for a child or you can send memorial contributions to one of the following organizations: Journey Hospice, 314 S.
