Donald Lee  Prunty
Donald Lee Prunty, 91, of New Martinsville, WV died Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Don was born November 11, 1926 in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Chester and Lona (Johnston) Prunty.

Don was a retired technician and shop foreman for the former Bridgeman Bros. Motor Company with forty-seven years of service. He received numerous awards from Ford Motor Co. for outstanding performance and earned the ASE Master Mechanic Certificate. Don was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran serving in the South Pacific during WWII and member of the American Legion Marne Post #28, loved hunting, gardening and repairing things. He was devoted family man who gave selflessly to them and so many others. Don was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, where he enjoyed volunteering for several Lenten fish fries.

Surviving are his wife of thirty years, Janyne (Skidmore) Prunty; two sons, John (Christine) Stolarik III of Chester, VA and Brian (Jessica) Stolarik of Morgantown, WV; daughter, Terri Rangel of Cleveland, OH; five grandchildren, Ashley Rangel, Anthony Rangel, Morgan Stolarik, Christopher Stolarik and Bryan Stolarik and sister-in-law, Judy Grau of Lake Elsinore, CA.

Friends will be received 3-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV.

Rosary service will be held 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Mass of the Resurrection will be at 11a.m., Thursday, May 24, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Symeon Galazka as celebrant.

Honor Guard will conduct military rites after the funeral Mass outside of the church on Thursday.

Interment in St. Louis Cemetery in Louisville, OH.
