Byers, Nellie Katherine, age 83, of Paden City, WV died Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Morgantown, WV.

Nellie was born November 20, 1928 in Pullman, WV the daughter of the late Larcy and Dessie Wamsley Mullenix.

She was a homemaker, member of the United Methodist Women, served on the Parsonage Committee and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Paden City, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eramalee Wilson and a brother, Samuel Mullenix.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Robert Byers; two sons, David Byers of Paden City and Rodney (Katrina) Byers of Sistersville, WV; three sisters, Helen Nichols, Laura (Max) Dodd and Ada (Millard) Riggs; two grandsons, Jeremy (Jamie) Byers and Christopher Byers; two great-grandchildren, Ashlynn & Brayden.

Friends received 3 - 5 & 7 - 9 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, Paden City where funeral services will be held 1p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2012 with Pastor Judy Vetter officiating.

Interment Pullman Cemetery, Pullman (Ritchie County) WV.
