Cecil, Golda Mae, 97, of New Martinsville, WV died Friday, January 13, 2012 at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV.

Golda was born November 30, 1914 in New Dale, Wetzel County, WV daughter of the late Friend and Harriet "Celia" Hafer Goddard.

She was a homemaker, loved quilting, playing bingo, bunco and yatzee with her grandchildren and a member of the Antioch Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Cecil; son Kenneth Cecil; daughter, Eleanor Cecil; grandsons, Kenneth Thomas and Shane Cecil; granddaughter, Connie Litton; brothers, Melvin and Lawrence Goddard; foster sister Bernice Koontz; daughter-in-law, Linda Cecil and son-in-law, Terry Stillwagoner.

Surviving are three sons, Leroy (Lucille) Cecil, Russell (Peggy) Cecil and Bob (Nancy) Cecil all of New Martinsville, WV; four daughters, Celia (Joe) Johnson of Proctor, WV, Shirley (Don) Newman and Bernice (Mike) Judge both of New Martinsville, WV and Kathy (Clyde) Hochstrasser of Paden City, WV; thirty-five grandchildren; sixty-eight great, great great and great great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends received Noon – 4 and 6-9 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2012 with Rev. Dr. Victor Hunter officiating.

Interment in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
