Adkins, Robert "Bob", 80, of Paden City, WV died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.

"Bob" was born May 7, 1931 in Westover, WV son of the late Lee and Nora Davis Adkins.

He was a retired security guard for U.S. Security Company, a veteran in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, lifetime member of Sistersville Elks #333, Sistersville Lion's Club, Sistersville American Legion, like to fix or repair things and autos and was a Baptist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Opal Cox, Ray Adkins, "Dick" Adkins, Yeteve Stamps, Leola Roberts, Vivian Love, Eddie Adkins, infant brother, infant sisters and Marcellene Preston and stepson Kenneth Tuttle.

Surviving are his wife of forty-four years Laura Ingold Adkins; Bob (Valory) Adkins of Williamstown, WV and daughter, Connie (Dale) Cline of Sistersville, WV; step-daughter, Caroline Tuttle of New Martinsville, WV; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two special companions, Martie & Jackie.

Friends received 1-6 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes in Paden City where service will be held 6 p.m., Saturday with Pastor Judy Vetter officiating.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens to be held at the convenience of the family.

Military services will be conducted by the honor guard of Sistersville, Paden City and New Martinsville.
