Starkey, Kenneth "Kenny" L., 89, of New Martinsville, WV died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Wetzel County Hospital surrounded by his family.

Kenny was born August 12, 1923 in Short Creek, WV son of the late Raymond and Rebecca Wise Starkey.

He was a retired crane operator for DRAVO; loved his family, enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and traveling and a member of the Bridge Street Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Starkey; three brothers, Harry "Beffo" Richard Starkey, Robert Lee Starkey and James C. Starkey.

Surviving are his wife of forty-four years, Helen Starkey; two daughters, Scarlet (David) Hood and Karen (Tom) Pegg both of New Martinsville, WV; six grandchildren, Kendra, Micheal, Aaron, Devin, Shelden and Kyle; sister, Glenna Butcher of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville where service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2012 with Paolo DiLuca and Ed Melott co-officiating.

Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.

The Honor Guard will conduct full military rites at graveside.
