Neva T  Kemp (Tice)
Kemp, Neva T., 85, of Emeritus at Marietta, OH and formerly New Martinsville and Paden City, WV died Thursday, December 19, 2013 surrounded by family at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Neva was born July 25, 1928 in St. Marys, WV, daughter of the late Elmer and Delphia Northcraft Tice.

She was a graduate of St. Marys High School and was employed by the phone company in St. Marys, Corning Glass, Paden City Pottery and later New Martinsville Bank. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, active member of Paden City Christian Church and recently named Residents of the Month with Hersel at Emeritus at Marietta.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Debbie Lynne Kemp and brother, Charles Tice.

Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Hersel T. Kemp; son, Tom (Marsha) Kemp of Coraopolis, PA; two grandchildren, Katie Kemp of Pittsburgh, PA and Jonathan Kemp of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Eva Pearl Hearn of Marietta, OH; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of longtime friends and her extended Emeritus at Marietta family.

Neva will be remembered most for her vibrant personality and loving heart. She loved being around people, singing in the church choir, attending fairs and festivals, watching her grandchildren play sports and bringing a smile to someone’s face with one of her thoughtful greeting cards.

Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013, at the Paden City Christian Church in Paden City, WV with Jeff White officiating.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Neva’s name, to the charity of donor’s choice.
