Obituary for John Albert Veyon

John Albert  Veyon
John Albert Veyon, age 82, of Paden City, WV, died on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville, WV.

He was born Feb. 8, 1935 in Blueville, WV to the late Arthur and Mae (Ice) Veyon.

He served in the US Army; he was retired as an electrician from Union Carbide; and served many years with the Paden City volunteer emergency squad. He served many years as an elder with the Paden City Church of Christ and a fulltime evangelist with the Church of Christ in Friendly, WV and the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, New Martinsville, WV where he also served as an elder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Salisbury.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 60 years, JoEllen (Peters) Veyon, his sons: Darrell (Sarah) Veyon, Eric (Kathy) Veyon, Brent (Maria) Veyon, Aaron (Rebecca) Veyon, and John (Lori) Veyon, as well as 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews.

Friends will be received at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and the funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11 with Aaron Veyon and Niles Hissom officiating.
