Doris E. Twyman, 86, of New Martinsville, WV went to meet her Savior on Tuesday, January 09, 2018 while at Wheeling Hospital.

Doris was born December 16, 1931 in Wileyville, WV; daughter of the late Francis Wells and Thelma Pearl (Yoho) Postlethwait.

She was a 1950 graduate of Magnolia High School. Her career began with C&P Telephone Co from 1951 – 1975 then in 1978 she switched over to Ohio Power Mitchell and Kammer Plants and was there until 1994. Doris was a thoughtful and considerate person, highly respected by all who knew her and dearly loved by her kin. She had many health problems in life, but endured bravely. A former 4-H leader and Sunday school teacher and member of the Bridge Street Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald R. “Donnie” Postlethwait, sister, Nova Lee Cecil and brother, Win A. “Benny” Postlethwait.

Surviving are her husband of forty-six years, Norman Clair Twyman; two sisters, Nila (James) Craig of Littletown, PA and Barbara (Carlton) Norris of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 3-7 p.m., on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., where service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2018.

Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Doris’ name, to Bridge Street Church of Christ, 1139 South Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV 26155.
